From November 12 to 20, 2021 in the framework of the international project “Development of students’ mathematical competencies through digital mathematical modeling” (DeDiMaMo) project coordinator at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Member-Correspondent of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine N.V. Morze and Associate Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences M.A. Boiko together with partners from Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, associate professors of the Department of Informatics and Methods of Teaching O.V. Barna, S.V. Martyniuk, V.P. Oleksyuk, were at the University of Agder (Norway).

The rich program provided foreign partners with experience in building a model of SMART-University, the use of innovative approaches to the organization of the educational process at the university, presentation and discussion of tasks for further improvement of an e-learning course in mathematical modeling, the introduction of adaptive mathematics education in universities (using chatbots), technologies for establishing cooperation between students and the scientific community of universities. During the meeting, the project implementation report, main tasks and expected results of the project were discussed in detail. Project coordinator Professor Y.V. Rogovchenko (Agder University, Norway) made proposals for the development and implementation of an e-learning course “Digital Mathematical Modeling” for students studying mathematics and agreed on the provision of Ukrainian universities with software to support the study of mathematics (MathLab). Representatives of Agder University organized a number of events for Ukrainian scientists on the organization of the educational process, which is based on a student-centred approach and continuous development of professional skills of teachers. The delegation took part in a seminar on the professional development of teachers, which was organized by Professor Simon Goodchild of Agder University specifically for Ukrainian partners.
