On June 29, 2021, at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University a working meeting was held with the participation in the project “Development of students’ mathematical competencies through digital mathematical modeling” (DeDiMaMo) program EURASIA 2019, CPEA-ST-2019/10067: The University of Agder (Norway), Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (Ukraine), Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University.

Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University was represented by: prof. N. Morze, project coordinator at the university, Doctor of Science, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine; M. Boiko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Ph.D.; O. Lytvyn, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, Ph.D., senior researcher; M. Astafieva, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics, Ph.D. n., associate professor, Y. Mazhuha, Ph.D., senior lecturer at the Department of Primary Education, O. Glushak, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Computer Science and Mathematics.

Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University was represented by: N. Balyk, Head of the Department of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, Ph.D., Associate Professor, O. Barna, Associate Professor of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, Ph.D., V. Oleksyuk, Associate Professor of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, Ph.D., I. Grod, Associate Professor of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, Ph.D., J. Vasylenko, Assistant Professor of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, S. Martyniuk, Associate Professor of Informatics and Methods of Teaching, Ph.D. Professor Y. Rogovchenko, Ph.D., the project coordinator represented The University of Agder, Norway.

During the meeting, the project implementation report, main tasks and expected results of the project as a whole were discussed in detail. Project coordinator Professor Y. Rogovchenko (The University of Agder, Norway) made proposals for the development and implementation of an e-learning course “Digital Mathematical Modeling” for students studying mathematics. Representatives of all universities presented their parts of the course, reported on their readiness.

The meeting also addressed issues: dissemination of information about the results of the project; developing and conducting a survey of students: discussion of the process of acquiring licenses for VARK technology, preparation of a questionnaire, the start date; study visits for graduate students: change of activities, necessary information and data for the report, internal trainings; organization of collaboration for course development and exchange of experience: replacement of activities, necessary information and data for the report, internal trainings; presentation of mathematical modeling projects for students; equipment purchase report; organization of training of teachers and students of English; discussion of problems, plans and challenges that arose during the project.
